Focus 2

This fractal is a Julia set based on Newton’s method applied to the formula (z^3 – 1)/z with the constant c added, c =-1.02. A sqiare orbit trap was used, with a region split by orbit. Both inner and outer extent were set non-zero.

Burst

This fractal is a Julia set based on the formula 1/(z^9 + i) +c, c = 0.1 + 0.26i. The “stalks” orbit trap was used, with a region split by orbit. Both inner and outer extent were set non-zero.

Roots of Chaos

This fractal is a Julia set based on the formula (z^2 + 1)/(z^7 + i) + 2.48i. The “stalks” orbit trap was used, with a region split by orbit. The background is provided by angular decomposition.

Sharp Encounter

This fractal is a Julia set based on the formula (z^3 – 3z^2 + 2.5)/(z – 1) + 0.9333809 . The “stalks” orbit trap was used, with a region split by dwell.

Trefoil

This fractal is a Julia set based on the formula 1/(z^3 + 3/2) . The “stalks” orbit trap was used, with both inner and outer limits set. On top of this, angular decomposition is used for the “exterior.”

Reverberate

This fractal is a Julia set based on Newton’s method applied to the formula 1/(z^9 + 1) + c, c = 0.82 – 0.22 i. The “stalks” orbit trap was used, with both inner and outer limits set. The circular structure is similar to other fractals I have generated in the past …

Starry 4

This fractal is a Julia set based on Newton’s method applied to the formula (z^3 – 1)/z. The resulting expression has the constant c = -1.04 added to it. The “stalks” orbit trap was used. Angular decomposition was used for the exterior. I usually don’t combine these two techniques because they produce …

Introspection

This fractal is a Julia set based on the formula (z^5 – 1)/(z^5 – i). The resulting expression has the constant c = -1.14 – 1.28i added to it. The “stalks” orbit trap was used with both upper and lower limits set.

Crinkle

This fractal is a Julia set based on the formula 1/(z^4 + 1). The resulting expression has the constant c = -1.33 +0.055i added to it. The “stalks” orbit trap was used with the default color map set.

Flow

This fractal is based on Newton’s method applied to 1/(z^2 + 1). The resulting expression has the constant c = -0.9805717 -0.0008535715 i added to it. The small imaginary component of c accounts for the slight asymmetry of the figure about the real axis.
